The HeArt and Science of the Body

Upcoming Workshop Series, with Sara Davidson.

Introducing a Saturday afternoon Series:

Dive into the alignment and actions of specific areas of the body and explore how that knowledge supports an open heart and a dynamic and balanced energy flow. Each session includes lecture, anatomy, alignment, therapeutics, practice, and a period for questions and answers. Learn more deeply how to optimally align your posture and musculature in a way that further supports your journey toward radiant health and well-being. The course is designed to be learned sequentially as a unit of 4 classes, as the concepts build and refer back to previous classes, but students are welcome to attend individual sessions as well.

  • September 10th: Feet, Ankles, Knees
  • September 17th: Hips and Pelvis
  • September 24th: Spine
  • October 1st: Shoulders, Neck & Hands

Workshops meet from 2:30-5:30pm, at the Motion Center in Providence, RI.

Cost $40 per session / $145 for all 4. Register online

Sara Davidson is a Certified Anusara instructor whom I have been following for about a year now, most recently at a Summer Retreat at Prakasa, with Lynne Paterson. Both teachers helped immensely with a hip that had been cranky for a while (related to an old injury and my morning walks). Especially for you Rhode Island yogis, but not too far for others, this is a wonderful opportunity.

About Richard Hudak

I am Senior Adjunct Faculty in Sociology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and I have been a practitioner of Anusara™ yoga. I have completed 200 hours of teacher training within its diaspora community, consistent with its philosophy and alignment principles.
