The Happiness Project: “When You Are Content To Be Simply Yourself…Everybody Will Respect You.”

Lao Tzu via The Happiness Project: “When You Are Content To Be Simply Yourself…Everybody Will Respect You.”.

It’s a Taoist truism that there were no wars before recorded history. Once we have recorded deeds, there is a basis for comparison, and therefore jealousy and conflict. We can’t put the genie back in the bottle, but if we can “look for the good” in ourselves and others, then we have a chance of increasing what there is in this world to be happy about.
