Bottling the Blue

Here in Northeastern Massachusetts, it’s in the low seventies, with a clear blue sky, abundant sunshine, and a light breeze. Last week we had a heat wave, and since we’ve had the opposite extreme: unseasonably cool, gray and rainy weather. In contrast, I felt so inspired to be outside today I thought of that old phrase “I wish I could bottle this day.” Then it occurred to me that only one vessel is capable of containing it: the heart. Some may consider it corny, but there is only one thing we have that is vast enough to appreciate such a day.

If there is anything similar going on where you are, enjoy!

I feel like this nearly every day. Since I left the city behind I can feel my heart getting stronger and more loving every single day. It’s 4.20am here and I got up to see the lunar eclipse today. Normally I get up to watch the sunrise. That always fills my heart.
